Looking For A Sign in 2021
Heading into 2021, we’ve created an astrological guide using the world’s four primary elements—Fire, Earth, Air, and Water—to revisit the 12 signs of the zodiac and the traits common to each.
Produced in collaboration with Mt. Royal Printing, this booklet employs multiple printing effects — varnishing, reticulation, and varied paper stocks and colors, all of which enhance the content and visual experience.

Other stories include What’s in Your Backpack, Pop Quiz, Spot the 10 Differences, a Corner of Campus coloring page, and Speak Your Mind. Also included in this issue is Dear Daisy where Lower School student questions are answered by Upper School students.
University of Baltimore Magazine
The University of Baltimore Magazine for Fall 2020 features interviews with members of the UB community, sharing their takes on this extraordinary time. Reflections on how the pandemic has changed our lives are shown literally, in photos shot through reflective glass, and editorially through conversations. The story is followed by a piece on how online learning has become the prime solution to higher education’s dilemma during campus shutdowns. Cover story photography by Christopher Myers.
York College of Pennsylvania Alumni Magazine
The Fall 2020 issue of York College Magazine contains two features: “Model Teacher: Art in the Classroom” and “Learning From Crisis: How the Coronavirus Pandemic Has Changed the Way We Do Business.” In the former, the cover story, a steel teaching sculpture has been installed on the York campus in memory of an engineering student. The latter story is written by Dr. Nick Delener, Interim Dean of the Graham School of Business, who provides strategic recommendations for businesses, remarking that leadership, imagination, and execution will be of great importance in navigating life after the pandemic.
Johns Hopkins Medicine Breakthrough Journal
The winter 2020 issue of Johns Hopkins Medicine’s research journal, Breakthrough, features The Human Aging Project, an exciting new collaboration making Johns Hopkins the global epicenter for healthy aging. Other articles discuss how our cells age, provide counsel on the safety of in-person jury trials during a pandemic, and reveal how tapping into a new registry of patient data can change the way we think about – and treat – COVID-19.

Redesign: “Pathways,” Howard Community College Magazine
To mark fifty years since the opening of Howard Community College in Maryland, the school chose Skelton Sprouls to redesign their alumni magazine. Working closely with the Office of Public Relations and Marketing, we recommended a drastic restructuring of the magazine’s content. We organized sections ranging from general news to sports to community service, and introduced a distinct feature well for longer stories.

2020 was a year like no other — the International Year of the Nurse as well as the year of the pandemic. This special issue of the University of Maryland School of Nursing magazine documents an unprecedented and extraordinary time in history with illustrated stories and a pull-out poster.
