Ten years ago we did a complete identity redesign for Baltimore Clayworks, so we were excited to get a call back to refresh the brand in 2018. The outcome of the work was a new master logo, program logos, a style guide and brand assets for their communications team, including new stationery.

The Fall 2018 issue of York College Magazine features a senior-year capstone course that builds, programs, and operates cutting-edge drones equipped with specialized cameras to help farmers become more efficient.

We recently redesigned McLive!, McDaniel College’s arts and events calendar. The latest issue features Chloe Irla's "Jitters in the Forest," a quilt made from hunting and camping textiles.

It's all about becoming a qualified NURSE: emphasizing the various aspects of an advanced nursing degree, we designed a comprehensive recruiting package for the University of Maryland’s School of Nursing.
UCDA Winner x 2!
Two of our alumni magazines, Mendoza Business from the University of Notre Dame and The College from St. John’s College, won 2018 UCDA (University & College Designers Association) Awards of Excellence!
Out of 1,060 entries, 198 Awards of Excellence were given. The UCDA Design Competition recognizes the best of the exceptional design work done by communication professionals to promote educational institutions. You can view the full winner’s list here.

Redesigned: York College of Pennsylvania Alumni Magazine
We were introduced to York College of Pennsylvania in 2015 when we designed their admissions publications and coordinated on-campus photography. The York editorial team took notice and commissioned a magazine redesign with the intention of responding to a reader’s survey, giving the magazine a visual identity that better reflects the college’s brand guidelines, and celebrating their 50th anniversary.
CASE Circle of Excellence Bronze Award!
We're excited to announce that NURSING FOR/UM took bronze in 2018 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards in the category Editorial Design for the fall 2017 issue!
CASE judges reviewed 64 entries for the Editorial Design category. We're proud to have completed this work with the editorial team at the University of Maryland's School of Nursing.

Field Notes: Art Directing Portrait Photography
In our work for educational institutions, both editorial and marketing materials depend on telling stories. Most stories revolve around students, faculty, alumni or benefactors. When these people are featured, the “right” photographer is commissioned, one who knows how to use art direction creatively, one who can achieve an original visual interpretation of the story.
