The Fall 2020 issue of York College Magazine contains two features: “Model Teacher: Art in the Classroom” and “Learning From Crisis: How the Coronavirus Pandemic Has Changed the Way We Do Business.” In the former, the cover story, a steel teaching sculpture has been installed on the York campus in memory of an engineering student. The latter story is written by Dr. Nick Delener, Interim Dean of the Graham School of Business, who provides strategic recommendations for businesses, remarking that leadership, imagination, and execution will be of great importance in navigating life after the pandemic.
Johns Hopkins Medicine Breakthrough Journal
The winter 2020 issue of Johns Hopkins Medicine’s research journal, Breakthrough, features The Human Aging Project, an exciting new collaboration making Johns Hopkins the global epicenter for healthy aging. Other articles discuss how our cells age, provide counsel on the safety of in-person jury trials during a pandemic, and reveal how tapping into a new registry of patient data can change the way we think about – and treat – COVID-19.

Redesign: “Pathways,” Howard Community College Magazine
To mark fifty years since the opening of Howard Community College in Maryland, the school chose Skelton Sprouls to redesign their alumni magazine. Working closely with the Office of Public Relations and Marketing, we recommended a drastic restructuring of the magazine’s content. We organized sections ranging from general news to sports to community service, and introduced a distinct feature well for longer stories.
University of Maryland School of Nursing Magazine - Special Issue
2020 was a year like no other — the International Year of the Nurse as well as the year of the pandemic. This special issue of the University of Maryland School of Nursing magazine documents an unprecedented and extraordinary time in history with illustrated stories and a pull-out poster.
Bloom - Bryn Mawr Admissions Magazine
We recently completed the fall issue of Bloom, Bryn Mawr’s admissions magazine. It’s a fun, interactive publication, geared to kids, that provides a great look at the school’s current students, programs and activities.
The cover story, All in a Day, follows a senior hour-by-hour through her day. Other stories include What’s in Your Backpack, Pet Pals, Tricky Science, and Speak Your Mind. A Mad Lib activity is included, written by a Bryn Mawr student and alumna parent, as well as some light-hearted content on the pandemic such as mask fashion in The Bryn Mawr Look and a cut-out Do-Not-Disturb door hanger to aid in remote learning.
Johns Hopkins SAIS Magazine
Fall 2020 Magazine – Digital Edition
The latest issue of SAIS Magazine for Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies features the “reimagining” of SAIS’ flagship master’s degree program, aiming to open the door for interdisciplinary learning and collaboration. Other stories include the 65th anniversary celebration of SAIS’s Bologna, Italy campus and the creation of an office devoted entirely to co-curricular and experiential learning. University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management Magazine
The Fall 2020 issue of Carlson School of Management Magazine features former student body president and Carlson School student, Jael Kerandi, who used her seat at the table to lead fellow students through COVID-19 and the murder of George Floyd. Also included is a feature about alumnus Tomme Beevas, who reinvented how a restaurant can serve its community. Other stories in this issue include Carlson’s adaption to online instruction, how an alumnus is running a successful online survey company, and profiles of savvy alumni that are building business models and products that can help during the global pandemic.
