The Spring 2018 issue of Changing Business, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School’s research journal, features an article about life science companies’ reluctance to share information, leading to missed opportunities for innovation. Other topics include a concern for Russia’s state-run digital currency and the unintended consequences of a human donor-priority system. Illustrations in this issue are by Errata Carmona.

Posters For Change - Princeton Architectural Press
We’re proud to announce that Claude and Elizabeth’s poster designs for AIGA’s “Get Out the Vote” campaign for the 2016 general election were recently included in a new book by Princeton Architectural Press titled Posters for Change: Tear, Paste, Protest. (A detail of Elizabeth’s poster made the cover!)
From the publisher: “...nearly 300 designers from around the world answered the call to create this collection of 50 tear-out posters for people who want to make their voices heard in a time of unprecedented uncertainty and apprehension.”
You can find the book on the Princeton Architectural Press website or on Amazon.
Educe
We recently created a new website for Educe, a boutique firm focused entirely on the event needs of higher education. Our scope of work included a responsive website, collateral and a tradeshow backdrop.
Mendoza Business Magazine Wins Gold!
Our recent redesign of Mendoza Business Magazine for the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business won gold in the 33rd Annual Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report. Over 2,250 entries were received from over one-thousand colleges, universities and secondary schools from all fifty states and several foreign countries.
University of Maryland School of Nursing Magazine
The latest issue of NURSING FOR/UM for University of Maryland’s School of Nursing focuses on nursing in the military – the professional and personal impact it’s had on UMSON’s students, alumni, and faculty who are active-duty, reserves, or veterans. Other stories explore a high school program that introduces students to careers in health care, and a professor’s research on preparing families for difficult end-of-life decisions. Photography by Chris Myers and Chris Hartlove. Illustrations by Hanna Barczyk.
Adjunct Faculty This Spring
Most offices follow a typical calendar. Given the amount of educational projects we do, our office tracks the year by semesters. Our spring 2018 semester is again filled with adjunct teaching gigs. Elizabeth will be teaching a graduate publication design course at MICA, while Claude and Kevin will be teaching graphic design and typography (respectively) at Towson University.
Redesigned: Mendoza Business Magazine
We were asked to undertake a comprehensive redesign of the alumni magazine for the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. For us, the process started with conversations between our staff and theirs.
