We were asked to refresh the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management magazine. An integral part of one of the leading public research universities in the country, the Carlson School has a rich history of preparing and educating the world’s current and future business leaders. The spring 2020 issue focuses on the world, how the Carlson community takes part in global issues and makes our world a better place.
University of Maryland School of Nursing Magazine
The spring issue of NURSING FOR/UM, the alumni magazine of the University of Maryland School of Nursing, focuses on how nurses are key to the country’s battle against opioids. Other articles include how nurses take a patient-first approach to politics and policy, illustrated by Emily Haasch, and a perspective on HIV prevention. CUPPIE Gold Win!
The alumni magazine of York College of Pennsylvania has won two Gold CUPPIE Awards – feature photography for a 2018 cover story, "Speaking Through Art” and design of a 2019 cover, “Plastic in Paradise.”
Since 2005, CUPRAP has been awarding CUPPIE Awards for creative excellence in marketing and communications to the work of member institutions in the categories of advertising, electronic media, print, public relations and marketing, writing and photography.

We recently completed the winter issue of Bloom, Bryn Mawr’s admissions magazine. It’s a fun, interactive publication that provides a great look at the school’s current students, programs and activities.
The cover story, All in a Day, follows a senior hour-by-hour through her day. Other stories include What’s in Your Backpack, Speak Your Mind, Two Truths & a Lie, and Backstage Pass.
University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business Magazine
The fall issue of Mendoza Business, the alumni magazine of the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, features an in-depth perspective from the new dean of the college. Other features discuss the pros and cons of employees becoming shareholders, and the risk of misusing Social Security numbers.
Research stories include the development of analytical software to study the selling of virtual video game currency, the importance of incomplete contracts, and the study of joint bank accounts.
Johns Hopkins Carey Business School Magazine
The Fall 2019 issue of Johns Hopkins Carey Business features the art of mentoring; how alums embrace the opportunity to provide career advice to students at Carey. Other stories focus on what’s new at the School, including a new dean, MBA program, website, tagline and branding. By the Numbers looks at Americans who are not on track with retirement savings. Johns Hopkins Medicine: Leap Rounds
As an extension of Leap Magazine for Johns Hopkins Medicine Division of Rheumatology, we designed Leap Rounds, a bi-annual newsletter focusing on key doctors and researchers in the department. The inaugural issue features Dr. Wigley, an expert on scleroderma lung disease. Content follows a question-and-answer format, with illustrations by Miguel Porlan and gel-lit photography by Howard Korn.
