Baltimore Collegetown Look Book Refresh
Our latest update for Baltimore Collegetown’s Look Book, a publication that targets students who are considering living and attending college in Baltimore, includes new photography by Howard Korn and new spot illustrations by Paige Vickers.
Our Winter Break Intern
We had a terrific intern over the holiday break: Caitlin Eversmier, a sophomore at McDaniel College, is a double-major in graphic design and environmental studies. She did a great job doing marketing and production work for our studio, and she accompanied us on her first press inspection for a McDaniel brochure. Based on her solid work ethic and fine skills, we think she has a bright future ahead of her!
St. Mary’s College of Maryland, Mulberry Tree Magazine
Organic farming is nothing new at St. Mary's College of Maryland. Two biology professors were profiled in the fall 1975 issue of Mulberry Tree, working with students to run a 3/4 acre organic garden. The winter 2016 issue picks up with a cover story on the Campus Community Farm, a self-sustaining enterprise that harvests and sells organic produce and prepares students for careers in related fields. In another community outreach program, SMC students, enrolled in a “Community Sustainable Design” course, work with local residents on the “Tiny House Project” building two residential dwellings, each less than 200 square feet.
AIGA Minnesota: Project Passion
We are excited to announce that one of Kevin's personal typographic works will be part of the AIGA Minnesota's Project Passion group show this February. The Project Passion exhibition series celebrates the self-initiated work of graphic designers from around the globe. The show will take place at the Conkling Gallery at Minnesota State University, Mankato from February 1-17.
In today’s media-saturated world, it’s not easy to stand out. Be creative to get noticed, then expand the conversation. Learn from the interaction to target your subgroups and build a community of followers.
Lancaster Country Day School
We recently completed an admissions portfolio for Lancaster Country Day School, an independent, college-preparatory school. See more about the project here.
Website Refresh: Bill Denison Photography
Responsive websites are a must. Professional photographer Bill Denison’s site, which we designed in 2013 using traditional HTML, was recently brought up-to-date. To accomplish this, we maintained the original site architecture and pushed all content into smart web templating software. The results are an easy work flow in the back-end and a site that can be viewed on any device. See for yourself here.
York College of Pennsylvania
We recently added a new guide for transfer students to York College’s admissions marketing campaign. The brochure points out resources, requirements and services tailored specifically for students transferring to the York campus from a wide range of backgrounds.
