Building alumni loyalty is an ongoing challenge for independent schools. Capital campaigns, and their associated materials, are critical components of alumni development. Campaign identities and communications — case statements, posters, banners, ads, stationery, note cards, donor presentations, white papers, etc. — are specialties of Skelton Design.
In partnership with Keating Associates, in MA, we created signature materials for four successful capital campaigns (shown below).
Xaverian Brothers High School launched their capital campaign on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of their founding. The campaign name, “Called to Lead,” reflects the school’s mission to help boys discover their capacity for leadership and Xaverian’s long-standing position as leaders in Catholic education. Goals included investments in programs and facilities and endowments for financial aid and teaching excellence.
Before launching their upcoming capital campaign, St. David’s School published a “Vision and Values” brochure, an overview of the school’s mission and accomplishments, with multiple uses that include both donor engagement and student recruitment.
Since 1898, Saint John’s High School has shaped young men in the Xaverian Brothers tradition. The capital campaign pays homage to their legacy of mentorship with the theme displayed prominently on the cover of the case statement.
Friends Academy, a Quaker, coed, college preparatory school located on Long Island, was founded in 1876 by Gideon Frost for “The children of Friends and those similarly sentimented.” Capital campaign goals included endowment to support faculty and financial aid plus significant campus enhancement: a new Lower School, a renovated Athletic Center and new athletic fields.
