Bryn Mawr’s Bloom was conceived as a magazine-style alternative to traditional school viewbooks. As such, its tone and look is intentionally more newsy, breezy, and fun than a typical admissions brochure. It provides a semiannual peek into the life of the Bryn Mawr Girl.
First Impressions
Bloom magazine is divided into three sections: “Grow” – illustrating well-rounded Bryn Mawr girls, “Shine” – focusing on the experiential academic program and learning experiences at Bryn Mawr, and “Connect” – stories about the close-knit Bryn Mawr community. The strategy behind Bloom was imagined in collaboration with RGWE.
Student Profiles
Students selected for day-in-a-life profiles reinforce the school’s goal of providing a holistic education. “All In A Day” follows the student through significant moments of the day with copy that include time stamps and short entries written by the student.
We’ve heard rave reviews — from parents, students, trustees, and alumnae!

Features
Other feature stories showcase activities and experiences that distinguish the school. For example, “Mawrtian Arts” – a collection of recent student artwork, “What’s In Your Backpack”, “The Places We’ll Go” featuring alumnae profiles, faculty research, “How We Lead” – students who exemplify leadership, and “Speak Your Mind” – a fun Q&A with students.
Surprise Elements
The magazine also includes fun removable components like a sticky note from the head of school, a ticket to a theater play for prospective students, and “The Byrn Mawr Look” – a mix-and-match flipbook to express your style!
