Skelton Sprouls created a case statement for the Detroit Institute of Arts in collaboration with Robert Gray Writing & Editing and photographer Meredith Heuer. With this new campaign, the DIA is positioning itself among the great museums of America.
MAKING THE CASE
This publication is about making an immediate impact. Diego Rivera’s Detroit Industry mural is paired with a powerful opening statement. A striking photo of Alexander Calder’s Young Woman and Her Suitors works in conjunction with a timeline of the museum’s history and an introduction that makes the case for why DIA is important to the future of Detroit and the world.
“For this endowment campaign to succeed, it would not be enough that the DIA be recognized as one of the world’s finest art collections; we also needed to express its commitment to making this extraordinary work accessible to the Detroit-area community it serves. Skelton Sprouls’ design and photo direction did an exceptional job visualizing these messages.”
