Mendoza Business – Magazine Redesign
“Mendoza Business wins the gold for its stylish feel, engaging covers, strong typography and bolder (but not overdone) use of photography and color. It feels like a completely different publication. Inside is a nice, well-paced mix of topical business content and information about alumni. In both content and design, this magazine understands and speak to its audience.”
Mendoza Business – Presidents Reports & Annual Reports
“We appreciated the simple approach to this book that was pleasant to flip through and read well. They took the time to thoughtfully curate their content. The clean and charming graphics coupled with the right amount of access points made it feel approachable considering there is quite a bit of information included. We felt the simple restrained color palette was appropriate—didn’t feel overproduced and wasteful. Excellent of type and graphics to create an accessible piece that has a fair amount of information/content that feels less than it is. Color, scale, and pacing make for an easy read. Nice, simple production, too.”
Mendoza Business – External Audience Newsletters
“Clean, distinctive design allows for quick skimming that showcases three to five articles per issue; well-written; eye-catching; very easy navigation; very interesting articles; easy to read; beautiful and stately masthead; layout style with ample left and right columns; draws eye to middle—very effective; very Buzz Feed like. Well done.”
Nursing For/um – Magazine Improvement
”This magazine earns the bronze for elevating not only the school but the entire profession of nursing. It portrays nursing as the modern, socially relevant profession that it is, and it portrays nurses and nursing students as engaged and diverse. While the old magazine felt like a newsletter, the redesigned version is a real magazine that readers will sit with. It is more imaginative in both content and design. Compared to the old version, it focuses much less on promotional material (such as donor lists) and more on nursing and its impact in society.”
